Cherry Fizz

Designed and made by Patricia Delaney

When Pat Delaney of Abington, Massachusetts, completed her quilt, she decided it needed something more. She writes, "The quilt was a little plain to me, so I spent two afternoons making enough polymer clay buttons for the embellishments in colors that complement the fabric prints. The quilting is bubbly and swirling to echo the polka dot fabrics. This quilt is filled with bubbles and fizz."

To make the twisted border, Pat followed directions in Janet Kime's The Border Workbook (That Patchwork Place, 1997). We have adapted the border for paper-foundation piecing. See the December 2004 Extra Credit for more information.
