Cherry Fizz

 Assembly

Step 1

Wash and press fabrics. Read the assembly instructions before cutting. For the Log Cabin block, we've provided rotary cutting diagrams if you prefer traditional patch-piecing methods. Cut the patches listed in the materials and cutting box and shown in the rotary cutting diagrams.

Step 2

Enlarge the paper-foundation block pattern 200 percent on a photocopy machine. Copy the enlarged pattern 25 times. Referring to the block piecing diagram, use paper-foundation methods to sew 25 blocks.

Step 3

Referring to the partial quilt assembly diagram, join blocks to make diagonal block rows. Join A's to make sash rows. Note that each sash (A) fabric matches the patch 10 fabric in the adjacent block. Sew an A, C, or A/C unit at the appropriate ends. Sew sash rows to the correct side of each block row. Note that B is added to the top right corner. Join the diagonal rows. Finally, sew a D to each corner.
