Geese in the Cabin
Made by Joyce Saia
Beaumont, Texas, quiltmaker Joyce Saia says, "On first impression, this looks like a red-and-white quilt. But the dark fabrics are red, purple, and orange and the lights are anything but white." The adventurous variation of color, tone, and texture within the dark and light halves of the blocks adds interest to this graphic version of the classic Log Cabin. Joyce drafted paper foundations to simplify the piecing.
