Standout Begonias
Made by Nancy Breland
Original designs for pieced flowers are a specialty of Nancy Breland of Pennington, New Jersey. QNM has given seven of Nancy's floral patterns in the last few years. Nancy writes, "Standout Begonias was inspired by looking at pictures of optical illusions. I hope it makes you feel like you could pick the flowers right off the surface of the quilt." Although the quilt looks like a strippy set, the small simple blocks are set on the diagonal.
