Playing With Photos

 Christmas Stockings

Crazy patchwork surrounding a child's photo turns a Christmas stocking into something very personal. Each year, it will be fun to remember the child at an earlier age. To make, cut a stocking shape from muslin, place the fabric photo in the center, then sew patches of various shapes around the photo until the muslin is covered. Cut a stocking back, place right sides together, and stitch all around the edge, leaving the top straight edge unstitched. Turn right side out, and hem the top.
