Trailing Vine
Made by Judy Bankson
A well-known quilt by Susan McCord in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, has been interpreted by Judy Bankson of Bethesda, Maryland. Judy writes, "The original quilt is decorated with sinuous vines and strip-pieced leaves. I selected Kaffe Fassett stripes and plaid fabrics to suggest the original piecing. This is fourth in a series of museum quilts I have replicated or interpreted. I enjoy the connection to the quiltmakers of an earlier day."
This pattern appears in the May 2005 (#372) issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. If that issue is no longer available at your local quilt store, check back issue availability and order online at www.villagequiltshoppe.com.
