Chicken Coop, 100" x 100", by Judy Irish of New Milford, Connecticut. Judy gathered chicken patterns and finished blocks from friends, family, books, and magazines to construct this quilt that began as a plaid challenge for her guild. "After two years of incubation, Chicken Coop was hatched. I even included a photo of my grandmother holding a hen," says Judy. This award winner was quilted on a longarm machine.
