Scrappy Scotties
Designed and made by Susan Ennis
A granddaughter's 13th birthday was all the motivation Susan Ennis needed to design this delightful quilt. This Humble, Texas, quilt and fabric designer chose a variety of graphic prints to give her dogs "personality." Although Susan used traditional methods with curved piecing for the dogs, these directions are for fusible applique that turns this pattern into a quick and easy project for any skill level.
A kit is available for making this adorable Scrappy Scotties quilt, which includes fabrics similar to those shown for the top and binding. Simply call Keepsake Quilting at 1-800-865-9458, fax 1-603-253-8346, or visit keepsakequilting.com. Ask for item #3893; $84.99 plus $6.99 shipping.
This pattern appears in the September 2006 (#385) issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. If that issue is no longer available at your local quilt store, check back issue availability and order online at www.villagequiltshoppe.com.
