Daylily Lattice

Designed by Angie Hodapp and make by Carol Heisler

When QNM editor Angie Hodapp saw the new Daylily Days collection from Andover Fabrics, she was instantly inspired to design a quilt. "The warm earth tones are so inviting, and the prints really caught my attention. I love the challenge of using large-scale prints and stripes–and this quilt has both!" Angie designed the quilt using EQ5 design software, and Carol Heisler of East Norriton, Pennsylvania, pieced and quilted it.

A kit that includes the fabrics needed to make the quilt top and binding is available from Ladyfingers Sewing Studio in Oley, Pennsylvania, for $59.95 plus $8.95 shipping within the U.S. Call 610-689-0068 or visit ladyfingerssewing.com.

The Providence Star block used in Daylily Lattice was shown in the 2004 edition of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine's 50 Best Blocks. For this and other Best Blocks collections, visit www.villagequiltshoppe.com or call 800-590-3465.

The Daylily Lattice pattern appears in the April 2007 (#391) issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. If that issue is no longer available at your local quilt store, check back issue availability and order online at www.villagequiltshoppe.com.
