The Melon
The melon section of the Double Wedding Ring can also be a place for design experimentation. This is a not a big area, so if you want to try different piecing options here, consider drafting or adapting your arcs to be narrower than in a traditional Wedding Ring, to gain more space to work with. When working with pieced melon ariations, we found they looked best when combined with solid or simple arcs rather than elaborately constructed ones.
