Nine-Patch Hourglass

Reproduction fabrics from the 1930s were used by Julie Gibbs of Arvada, Colorado, to make this soft and lovely quilt for her daughter, Cindy Russo. Two simple traditional blocks create the design. Julie used a cotton batt and washed the quilt to give it the slightly puckered, old-fashioned appearance.
