Assembly
Step 1
Wash and press fabrics. Cut the patches listed in the materials and cutting box and shown in the rotary cutting diagrams. For each block, cut 2 A's from one fabric and 2 B's from a second fabric.
Step 2
Referring to the block piecing diagrams, sew a B between 2 A's. Press the seam allowances open. Cut the block in half perpendicular to the B. Each half should measure exactly 2 7/8" wide. Sew the second B between the 2 halves of the block as shown. Press the seam allowances open. Make 179 blocks.

Step 3
Referring to the partial quilt assembly diagram, arrange the blocks as desired on a design wall or tabletop. Sew the blocks and C's in
diagonal rows as shown. Join the rows. Add a D to each corner. Carefully trim all sides of the quilt 1/4" away from the points of the blocks.
Step 4
Matching centers and starting and stopping the stitching 1/4" away from each corner of the quilt, sew the shorter borders to the top and bottom and the longer borders to the opposite sides of the quilt. Miter each corner, trim the seam allowances to 1/4", and press them open.
Step 5
Layer the quilt backing, batting, and top. Baste. Quilt a diagonal grid of wavy lines between the block rows and down the centers of the B's, extending the grid into the borders. Quilt a horizontal and vertical grid of wavy lines through each block and into the borders. Bind the quilt to finish.
