Summer Love

Love is in the air as you stitch this romantic quilt. Quiltmaker Nancy Graves of Manhattan, Kansas, says, "This quilt represents all of my romances that always seemed to end about May. This meant my summers were always an adventure. The hearts have quilting that makes them look broken, except one in the center. I embroidered my husband's and my initials in it. We celebrated our 25th year of marriage last May."

Show off your applique and quilting skills. If you have never tried reverse applique, you may want to use that technique, as Nancy did, when stitching the gold circles in the swag border.
