Wash and press fabrics. Cut the patches listed in the materials and cutting box and shown in the rotary cutting diagrams for traditional piecing. If you are strip piecing units for the nine-patches, cut the strips listed in the box instead of the A's.
Step 2
Referring to the block piecing diagram, make 237 star point blocks. For traditional piecing, refer to the nine-patch piecing diagram and join 9 A's as shown to make 238 blocks.
For strip piecing the nine-patches, join strips of two fabrics as shown in Fig. 1, making bands. Cut segments 1 1/2" wide from the bands. Join segments to make 238 nine-patch blocks.
