Good Morning

Made By Karin Lusnak

While shopping in a Mennonite community in Pennsylvania, Karin Lusnak of Albany, California, managed to find a few bolts of batik fabric, and the rich variety of hues she used gives this quilt a contemporary look. "I love the simplicity of nine-patches," says Karin, "and I used these in combination with larger blocks that display the designs in the batik fabrics I have been collecting for several years." Laura Lee Fritz of Middletown, California, did the machine quilting with dancing figures and leaves. She included Karin's two Jack Russell terriers.
