Good Morning

 Assembly

Step 1

Wash and press fabrics. Cut the patches listed in the materials and cutting box and shown in the rotary cutting diagrams. We have adapted this pattern for ease of construction by adding blocks and patches to fill out the bottom corners. Karin made her design to fit gracefully on a four-poster bed.

Step 2

Referring to the block piecing diagram, make 66 nine-patch blocks. Referring to the quilt assembly diagram, alternately set nine-patches and B's into 12 rows of 11 units each, adding a border unit or C to the ends as needed. Join the rows.

Join 5 border units alternately with 6 C's to make the bottom border. Add an A to each end; sew to the quilt.

Step 3

Layer the quilt lining, batting, and top; baste the quilt. Quilt in-the-ditch around the patches, or quilt continuous leaf motifs as Laura did. Bind the quilt to finish.
