Cake Stands

 Assembly

Step 1

Wash and press fabrics using spray starch, if desired. Cut the patches listed in the materials and cutting box and shown in the rotary cutting diagrams.


Step 2

Assemble 99 blocks as shown in the block piecing diagram. Each of the blocks is constructed from two fabrics.



Step 3

Referencing the partial assembly diagram and the photograph of the quilt, sew the blocks into diagonal rows as follows: for rows 1 and 19, add F's to either side of a block. Sew a G to the top of row 1 and the bottom of row 19. For rows 2-18, alternate blocks and E's and assemble into rows, adding an F to either side of each row. Sew the rows together as shown.
