Serendipity
Made By Beth Reisman
Beth Reisman, of Newton Centre, Massachusetts, saw a photograph of a vintage Prairie Queen quilt in Mary Mashuta's book Cotton Candy Quilts (C&T Publishing, 2001). Beth writes, "The unknown maker of the original quilt had a carefree style that appealed to me, and I based my design on hers. I used fabrics and colors that were reminiscent of the 1960s, and tried to capture the unrestricted, free spirit that so inspired me in the original." Serendipity was machine quilted by Penny Jurgens.
