California Show Opens Doors on 12th Festival

With its sense of humor firmly in place, the management of the 12th Pacific International Quilt Festival has declared this year's theme to be "T.G.I.F." for "Thank Goodness It's Fabric!"

Mancuso Show Management will open the show on October 9 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. The show closes on October 12.

Secrets of the Daylilies, 67" x 80", by J. Phil Beaver of French Lick, Indiana, won best use of color in the innovative category at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in 2002.

More than 700 items will be on display, with a juried and judged collection of quilts competing for cash awards and prizes in excess of $29,000. In addition, 13 special exhibits will include quilts from Canada, Great Britain, Italy, and Norway.

For more information and online registration, see the website www.quiltfest.com. A detailed brochure is available for $2 from PIQF XII, Dept. WP, P.O. Box 667, New Hope, PA 18938, or phone 215-862-5828.
