For quilt lovers, the months of July and August provide some of the best chances of the year for viewing quilts shows and exhibits both in- and outdoors. In Ohio, The Artist as Quiltmaker: Pathways & Perspectives continues through August 1 at the New Union Center for the Arts, 39 S. Main St., Oberlin, OH 44074. Sponsored by the Firelands Association for the Visual Arts, the invitational exhibition features works by leading quilt artists as well as some emerging quiltmakers. The 29th annual one-day outdoor show is on July 10. Phone 541-549-6061; email ann@stitchinpost.com; website www.stitchinpost.com.
