A Cedar Hill, Texas, Victorian farmhouse on the National Register of Historic Places is now available to quilters as a retreat for "uninterrupted creative endeavors." The four-bedroom house, built in 1890, sits on 30 acres and offers accommodations for eight people. Most important, a sewing cottage is set up with quilters in mind. The studio offers eight large work tables, felt display boards, power strips at table height, rolling chairs, ironing and cutting stations, a bathroom, refreshment area, and adjustable heating and air conditioning.
