Named one of the Thirty Most Distinguished Quilt Artists of the World at the 2003 Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival, Japanese quilt artist Keiko Goke has been credited with revolutionizing the art of the quilt in her country.

From April 7-10, visitors to the International Quilt Festival/Chicago will be treated to a showing of ten of her art quilts in an exhibit sponsored by Quilter's Newsletter Magazine and Clover Needlecraft, Inc. Keiko's work is rarely displayed in the U.S.

An additional exhibit, Keiko and Friends: Art Quilts, will be held at the Kavanagh Gallery in The Fine Line Creative Art Center in St. Charles, Illinois, from March 4 to April 23. Keiko's works, as well as quilts from Mariko Akizuki and 50 small works from more than 50 international quilt artists, will be displayed.

For more information about the International Quilt Festival/Chicago, visit the website www.quilts.com. To learn more about the exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery exhibit, visit www.finelineca.org and www.artfabrik.com.
