...Quilting Documentary Slated to Air...

Watch the schedule for your local public broadcasting station beginning in November for the premiere of The Great American Quilt Revival. The one-hour documentary was produced by Bonesteel Films in partnership with UNC-TV about the quilt revival of the twentieth century. The film, executive produced by quiltmaker, teacher, and author Georgia Bonesteel and directed by her son Paul Bonesteel, includes interviews with honorees such as Cuesta Benberry, Barbara Brackman, Karey Bresenhan, Jonathan Holstein, and Jean Ray Laury at the grand opening of the Quilters Hall of Fame in July 2004. A DVD with additional footage is available to consumers.

Mancuso Show Management, organizers of a number of quilt shows such as Pacific International Quilt Festival and the two World Quilt and Textile Shows, has announced a new show for the Rocky Mountain region. At the time of this writing, all of the details had yet to be worked out, but the Colorado National Quilt Festival will be held May 4-7, 2006, in Denver. www.quiltfest.com
