Designing Efforts
for Hurricane Victims

Scenes of the Old French Quarter such as the French Market, Bourbon Street jazz musicians, a river steamer, and the Mardi Gras parade can not only be used to make images of New Orleans come to life on fabric but can benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina as well.

Designer Judy Lyon created the "French Quarter Continuous-line Pattern" and all profits from its sales will go to the Salvation Army to aid in its hurricane victim relief efforts. The roll pattern is 11" wide and is divided into four 36" panels. The scenes can be used individually, stacked, or placed end to end. The pattern sells for $20 for a paper roll from MeadowLyon Designs LLC. A digitized version was created by Todd Brown of Legacy Quilting for the Statler Stitcher and is available for $30.
