News Notes

...Schedule Change for September Show...

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza has changed its dates and location for 2006. Instead of Fort Washington as previously announced, this year's show will be held September 7-10 in Harrisburg in the new Expo Hall of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. In announcing the change, Mancuso Show Management noted that this move will mean that now the quilt show, workshops, and vendors will all be under one roof in an air conditioned space. 215-862-5828; www.quiltfest.com

...Quilters Hall of Fame Ready to Celebrate...

The significance of this year's inductee to the Quilters Hall of Fame will be evident in the exhibit "All that Jazz: The Influence of Virginia Avery," on display during Celebration 2006, July 13-16, at the Marie Webster House in Marion, Indiana. Virginia's own quilts will also be showcased; she is the organization's 36th honoree. Contest quilts from "How Does Your Garden Grow"–sponsored by QNM–will also be on display. 765-664-9333; www.quiltershalloffame.org
