QNM Now Member of CKmedia Family...

QNM's new owner, Enthusiast Media, announced in October that it will do business as ckMedia. Its nine quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking magazines were purchased from Primedia last September. Other magazines in the ckMedia family include Quiltmaker, McCall's Quilting, Sew News, Creating Keepsakes, and Paper Crafts.

Illinois Post Office Commissions Gee's Bend Lapel Pin...

The post office in Steger, Illinois, has commissioned a commemorative lapel pin bearing the image of one of the "Quilts of Gee's Bend" postage stamps. The stamps were released in August 2006 as part of the United States Postal Service's American Treasures series and include images of 10 quilts from the remote Alabama community of Gee's Bend. For a limited time, customers who purchase three booklets of the stamps (60 first-class stamps cost $23.40) will receive a complimentary pin while supplies last.
