Quilts around Town Returns to Chester, Vermont...
|
|
The community of historic Chester, Vermont, is preparing for Quilts around Town, a three-day event that honors quilts and quiltmaking. This year's event will take place during Mother's Day weekend, May 11-13. Viewer's choice awards will be given to four of the many quilts that will be on display at local businesses, and several quilters will demonstrate a variety of techniques throughout the weekend. Suzanne Ashe, owner of Country Treasures quilt shop in Chester, has organized Quilts around Town for more than 10 years. Each year, proceeds from a raffle quilt are donated to a community member in need.
