Eleventh World Quilt & Textile Returns to New Hampshire...

Quilters from 12 countries are invited to enter their work in the World Quilt Show XI-New England, produced by Mancuso Show Management. The event will be August 16-19, 2007, in Manchester, New Hampshire. QNM will once again sponsor the World Quilt Panel and Forum, featuring Pepper Cory, Rosalie Dace, and Sharon Pederson, among others. A faculty of renowned instructors will teach nearly 40 classes, touching on everything from quiltmaking basics and surface design to collecting quilts and making quilts for competitions. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to view nine special exhibitions, many with a focus on art quilts. quiltfest.com

Quilters Find New Online Community...

More than 75 percent of quilters in the U.S. use the Internet to look for information and products related to quilting (The National Survey of Quilting in America, CK Media, 2006). Now, quilters can connect with each other online through the new, secure website ourquiltingspace.com. Registration is free, and quilters can post a personal profile, meet and chat with friends, buy and sell merchandise, share tips and techniques, and search for guilds. Guilds can post information about upcoming events and fundraisers. The site was founded by David Martelli of quilting notions manufacturer Martelli Enterprises. ourquiltingspace.com, martellinotions.com
