Streak of Lightning
Foundation Patterns

Streak of Lightning from the September 2005 (#375) issue of QNM features a bold piece made between 1930-1950 by an Amish quilter from Nappanee, Indiana. Read more about the original quiltmaker and find the complete Streak of Lightning pattern in that issue.

For those who prefer paper-foundation piecing, here are full-size patterns for the basic unit and the two corner units you will need to make Streak of Lightning. Trace or photocopy 133 units and 7 each of the corner units. You'll find complete directions for the quilt in the September issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine (#375), available on newsstands or through www.villagequiltshoppe.com.
