Foundation Pattern
Making our cover quilt on the QNM October 2005 issue can be easier if you like paper piecing. Download the PDF file for the diamond foundation pattern. For each diamond unit, make 5 copies of the foundation. Paper piece each foundation in numerical order, alternating black and solid fabrics as shown in the diamond unit 1 and 2 diagrams. Join the foundations to complete the diamond unit. Repeat to make the needed number of diamond units for your quilt.
