Just for Today:
Line Drawing
Multicolor stars are the dominant feature of Joanna Baxter's quilt, Just for Today, as shown in the October 2006 issue of QNM. However, a look at a line drawing of the quilt provided here may suggest other color placement possibilities. Make several copies of this drawing and try shading various patches with a pencil to see what designs you can develop. Once you have a version you like, use colored pencils or markers to work out a color scheme you can translate into fabric. You are working with the same patches given with the original pattern, but the look can be entirely different.
