Dark colors include dark brown, black plaid, and gray. The light color was added for balance.
My choices (below, left) included darks in a variety of colors. To those I added some of my very darkest favorites.
The floral print, third from the top, looks subdued here but might stand out in a block because of the clear red in the print. Be sure to balance any vivid colors throughout the whole design.
