Flying Anvil Pattern and Motif

The Flying Anvil pattern appears in the May 2004 (#362) issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. The traditional Flying Geese in the border of that pattern have been sized to fit evenly across the length and width of the quilt. We've printed templates in the magazine, but for those who enjoy paper-foundation piecing, we're including a pattern here that can be printed and photocopied. You will need to make 42 copies.

You'll also find a quilting motif that QNM artist Susan Geddes designed for the Y blocks. It can be used for hand or machine quilting.

Download the PDF file or click the links below to view and print the pattern and motif.
