Heat Wave

The July/August 2004 (#364) issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine features a quilt called Heat Wave, which is based on the Storm at Sea pattern. See that issue for complete directions, and use the paper foundation patterns given here to create precisely pieced blocks!

To use these patterns to make a quilt like the one featured in QNM, make 36 copies of the block X foundation pattern, 72 copies of the block Y pattern, and 36 copies of the block Z pattern. For each paper-foundation pattern, foundation piece in numerical order. Trim the excess paper and fabric on the outside line.

If the July/August 2004 issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine is no longer available at your local quilt shop, visit our online store at www.VillageQuiltShoppe.com to check back issue availability.
