Brother and Sister Quilt

by Deidre Adams

This series quilt in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine Nos. 313-317 (June-November 1999), was designed by Nancy Page in the 1930s. Although Nancy Page's original quilt designs did not include little boy figures, just the girl dolls, we thought it would be fun to include a couple of boy motifs.

QNM artist Deidre Adams has designed these two figures that are compatible with the little girls. There are three hat choices, patched overalls, and shorts to add variety. The original sailor boy is 6" tall, and the overalls boy is 5 3/4" tall. Because the motifs on this page may print at a different size than the originals, it may be necessary to enlarge or reduce them, either by changing the percentage they will print (found on your page setup menu), or by enlarging the computer printout on a photocopy machine. For a PDF file version of these motifs, designed to print true to actual size, click here or click the next page link below to view the patterns online.
